Student Sponsorship Programs

With a donation of $200.00 US, you can sponsor a child for a full year. That's as little as 55 cents a day! This includes uniforms, lunch, books, school supplies and educational day trips.

Boarding School Sponsorship Program

Boarding programs are a safe and effective way for a child to educate themselves. With your generous donation you can sponsor a desperately needy child to go to a boarding school for a year. Prices vary depending on school.

Sponsors of students are able to write and receive letters from their sponsored student. These letters are written by children and are not corrected or changed by anyone and are sealed by the children. Letters received from sponsors to children are opened only by the child and not counselors. Sponsors are also able to call their child at any time with privacy.

There is no clearance needed from Tanzania Children Education to come visit your child. You can come at any time you wish, on your own time without any notice to us. We will be more than happy to see you visiting us at any moment.

Peter's Goodluck Story

Peter is a 16 year old boy who lives in Africa. He had come to me for help for a period of 3 months. He was working in a tiny provision store behind a small window with iron bars, in an Arusha village only 2 minutes from where I was living. The money Peter made was no more than $5.00 US per month and many times it was taken away from him. He lived in poor conditions, his bed was a very thin mattress on the floor and he was malnourished.

Just about every morning Peter showed me the T-Shirt from his school with a big smile. Speaking only Swahili with very little English he explained to me that he wishes to go home to his family and continue school.

Constantly abused by his boss, I found Peter in very bad shape early one morning after being beaten. Sadly, he lifted his head up when he saw me and with a big smile again asked me for help. Peter's eyes were bruised and I knew I could not let this continue. I took Peter into my home and went to see his family and school. I did not want to give money to Peter, but only to his school. I had found that Peter only needed $140.00 US dollars to complete the year. This was a day that neither Peter nor I will ever forget.

Thanks to the generosity of a New Jersey sponsor, Peter is currently studying and very happy living at home with his family. His English is improving dramatically and he is able to communicate with me in English.
